2D Artists Needed!
This blog entry can be found on my development blog at CaffeinatedGames, but since you must be a registered user on that site to view any of those blogs (registration is free), I figured I'd post it here too:
---------
Being as close to an initial release as I am for my space shooter, I realize that I need to replace the basic images I used for ship graphics and other things. I basically took free images online and used them. They weren't great, but they got the job done. Here are a few examples of what I used:

I am now hoping I could get some help from some artists out there. Anyone who likes making space ships. I will credit anyone whose work I use. There won't be any money in it though since this game was never meant to sell. However, if in the amazingly improbable event that this game somehow manages to make money, you'll definitely get your cut. Regardless of that, any artist who helps me is entitled to get early dibs on a copy of the game. They can even test it for me :)
Oh, another thing: level editors. Levels in my game are pretty simple. They consist of physical obstacles and alien ships. Obstacles are created in XAML (My game reads in Path objects created for Silverlight. Microsoft Expression Design can be used to draw these out and then export to XAML file). All it really comes down to is maybe a drawing of what you think a good level should look like. I can do the XAML editing. Or, if you are curious, go look up the markup format for a Path object in XAML and then do it that way (its pretty simple). :)
